Portfolio
- Mensch-Maschine Interaktion
- Computerisierte Kulturen und Digitale Identitäten
- Sicherheitsregime und -kulturen
- Krisenkommunikation
- Assessment und Regulation
The research spectrum of the HTL covers the user-oriented design of interactive systems, the analysis of risk and crisis communication in socio-technical constellations, and the examination of security and surveillance regimes and their culturally formed practice. In research projects the HTL uses classical methods of empirical social research, but also scenario analyses, gaming and simulation exercises, user tests and participative design workshops. In addition, the uses of audio-visual scientific communication are being explored and put into action.
The HTL is subdivided into five main research themes:
- Human-computer interaction
- Computerized cultures and digital identities
- Security regimes and cultures
- Crisis communication
- Assessment and regulation
